Do you enjoy singing worship songs? Do you sing with the radio, in your private devotions, when listening to worship CDs?

Have you ever thought about participating with the choirs in leading the congregation in worship but for various reasons, the time or commitment didn’t fit. Perhaps you can make up harmony but can’t read music. Or you can sing melody but not parts. Maybe you’ve sung in choirs in the past but your current stage in life won’t permit you to commit to a weekly practice. Perhaps you’re serving in other areas of ministry that conflict with the Wednesday practice. Maybe you can sing with the radio, but have never sung in a choir.

Then the DPC worship choir is the place for you.

The Worship choir is a non-audition, non-practice, meet the morning of singing, choir that leads the congregation in worship approximately one or two times a month. The choir consists of Junior High and High School youth, college, and adult singers.

We may schedule a Sunday morning run-through before Sunday school (9-9:30) or just meet on the stage a couple of minutes before the Sunday morning service. The songs we sing are the same ones the congregation is singing that morning. We also have a core group of the Chancel Choir that have rehearsed the harmonies and will be there to help provide a solid foundation for you to use your gift. The Worship Band will provide the accompaniment.

Come sing melody, or written harmony or make up you own.

We would hope that this choir might encourage your musical gifts, and when the time is right, at the Lord’s leading, participation in the Chancel Choir, Praise Team or Worship Band.
