To Our Guests

Hebrews 10We at Decatur Presbyterian Church would like to warmly welcome you to visit us at anytime so that you can get to know us and so that we can get to know you as well. We invite you to join us for Sunday School (9:30 - 10:30) and for our worship service which begins at 10:45.  We are located at 2306 Modaus Rd. Once you arrive, greeters will be available at the front entrance to assist you and get you pointed in the right direction.  If you would like further information before your visit, please call the church office at 256.351.6010.  The rest of the information below is simply designed to help orient you once you arrive, but please do not hesitate to ask for help when you need it.

We look forward to meeting you!

Sunday School

Sunday School is provided for ages 3 and up.  Sunday School classes start at 9:30 and generally include refreshments.  If you are unsure where to find the classrooms for you and your children, a greeter (or anyone for that matter) will be happy to assist you.

Nursery

Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship service and Sunday School. For help finding the appropriate room for your child, ask one of the greeters. For more nursery information, check here.

Godly Play

Shortly before the sermon begins, children ages four to six will be dismissed to attend Godly Play.  Godly Play is a time for Bible stories, crafts, and other activities.  A parent or other adult family member must accompany the child to the classroom and pick the child up shortly after the worship service.  For help finding the classroom, just ask someone or follow the crowd.

Cry Room

A cry room is available for nursing mothers who desire privacy.  It is located in the room behind the visitors' desk next to the nursery.  This room is equipped with speakers and an audio feed for listening to the worship service. For those with fussy or sick children, Rooms 130, 132, and 135 are also equipped with speakers and an audio feed and are available for your use.

Membership

If you are interested in possibly becoming a member of DPC, membership classes are offered on a rotating basis.  These classes are a great way to learn what it means to be a member of DPC as well as what makes us distinctive in our community.  To find out when the next membership class will begin, please contact a member of the Ministry Staff.
