Tommy Lee, Senior Pastor

Tommy is originally from Starkville, Mississippi. After graduating from Mississippi State University, he led a youth ministry in Pensacola, Florida for two years.  In 1994, he and his wife, Elizabeth, moved to St. Louis, Missouri where Tommy enrolled at Covenant Theological Seminary.  While in St. Louis, Tommy served one church family as a Pastoral Intern, an Assistant Pastor, an Associate Pastor, and then finally as the Founding Pastor of a church plant.  In September of 2009, Tommy moved his family back down to the South and became the Sr. Pastor of Decatur Presbyterian Church.  He and Elizabeth have five children: Jonathan, Calli, Jaden, Joseph, and Caitlin.

Steve Coward, Assistant Pastor of Youth

Steve is originally from Savannah, GA. After receiving his BA in History from Armstrong Atlantic State University, he attended Reformed Theological Seminary - Orlando. In May 2003, he graduated with a Master of Divinity. On September 27, 2003 he married the love of his life (Adriane). Steve is currently the Assistant Pastor of Youth at Decatur Presbyterian Church in Decatur, AL, and is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America. He and Adriane have two sons, Grayson and Shepard.

Stu Schieler, Worship Director

Stu is originally from Ripon, WI but moved to Miami, FL when he was 8 years old.  Stu was raised in a large PCA church in Miami where he was very active in the music ministry.  Stu went on to study music at Miami Dade Community College. Stu and his wife, Lory, have been married for 22 years.  Stu comes to us from Tampa Bay Presbyterian Church where he was Music Ministry Leader since 2004.  In August of 2010, Stu became the Worship Director of Decatur Presbyterian Church.  Stu and Lory have two children – Jessie & Tel.

Bill Nelson, Director of Family Ministries

Bill is originally from here in Decatur, graduating from Decatur High School at some point in the 80's! He attended Samford University, graduating in 1992 with a degree in Psychology. Shortly after graduating from Samford, he was privileged to meet an amazing Godly woman (Amy) that he persuaded to marry him in 1996. They spent 10 years on staff with Campus Outreach, a college discipleship ministry, in the Birmingham AL area. After 5 years in the private sector, Bill returned to vocational ministry with Nations of Coaches. God saw fit to call Bill to be the Director of Family Ministries at Decatur Presbyterian Church in February 2012. He and Amy have 2 children, Grace and Colin.

Debbie Bell, Office Coordinator

Debbie was born in Hartselle and has lived in Morgan County her entire life.  She lives in Hartselle with her husband Emmett and has two adult Children, Terry (son) and Jaime (daughter).   Currently, Debbie co-directs the women's ministry at East Highland Baptist Church.
