So what’s the Women’s Ministry about and who belongs?

“The purpose of the Women in the Church is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.”  (From the WIC Resource Manual)

Welcome to the Women's Ministry We believe God creates and equips us as helpers – protecting, supporting, shielding, sustaining, delivering, comforting, encouraging and blessing the Body of Christ at DPC.  It is our privilege and responsibility to demonstrate our obedience to the Giver of our gifts by discovering and developing them for the common good of our covenant community.  Specifically, as women, we have also been commanded by the Titus 2 mandate to teach and train the younger women of the church to glorify God.  In case you are wondering if you are an older or a younger women…you are both!  We seek to provide opportunities to pursue this mandate.  It is our prayer that as we mature in Him, our hearts will be bound together as sisters in Christ as we serve our Lord by serving our church.

Finally, our strong desire is to nurture the gospel of grace in the hearts of women.  We hope to consistently and faithfully point you back to the gospel.  We offer a safe place for you to come and share your heart, your fears and your struggles…your real life.  As we grow together, we hope you will feel encouraged in your spiritual walk, and will develop an intimate relationship with Jesus, our only true and lasting hope.

So, in a nutshell, if you are a woman…you are a vital part of our church body and this is where you belong!

We have some great opportunities for fellowship and worship coming up:  an informal Saturday morning gathering for coffee & muffins, a festive Christmas party, a craft night and a weekend with Laura Story, author and songwriter.  Check our calendar here on the website for dates and times.
