Kids Under ConstructionYou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in our house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

Our DPC children’s ministry is based on the covenant of grace. In His covenant, God gives parents the primary responsibility for the spiritual teaching and nurturing of their children. However, the church is responsible, as a covenant community, to assist parents in these duties. Our children are an important part of the body of Christ. As Christians, we are to be good stewards of these young treasures entrusted to us. Our prayer is that our children never remember a day when they didn’t know and love Jesus.

Nursery ministry (birth – 3 years)

The purpose of the DPC nursery ministry is to provide a welcoming, nurturing atmosphere for the nursery age children of our members and visitors, which honors the Lord and supports the parents in the care and education of their children by using a consistently safe, clean and wholesome facility through a caring, competent and motivated nursery staff. Our nursery is available for church services on Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night, and our ladies Bible Studies on Tuesday morning.

Children’s ministry (4 years – 5th grade)

Our DPC children’s ministry is called “Kids Under Construction.” What’s that mean? We are under construction—God is building us into disciples for Him! Children's MinistrySo what does a construction worker need? Blueprints & tools! Our job at DPC is to give kids the blueprint and tools they need to work for God. What’s our blueprint for God’s work? THE BIBLE!! The Bible gives us all the instructions we need. And what tools do we need? Hammers, nails, and screwdrivers? NO! The tools we need for God’s work are the truths God teaches us in the Bible. So we’re working at DPC to prepare our kids to go out and get working for God—building His Kingdom!!

  • Sunday School – we offer Sunday morning classes for ages 3 - 5th grade. These classes are designed to help build relationships, encourage discipleship, focus on Scripture memory and teach key Bible lessons.
